Fashion to most of us is conceived as a vague and ever-changing concept, but nevertheless, societies, from the past to the present, view fashion as an important and vital element of life and an exiting and thrilling concept to ponder upon, indeed. What is fashion, who creates it, for whom and for what reason? In this course we will present and analyze the various fashion theories and their modern day applications, the history of fashion, the fashion industry and business today both in Italy, a nation which has pioneered in the industry for many decades now, as well as internationally.
