Students enrolled in the NECA Summer Programs can choose 2 courses, thus earning 6 U.S. credits. Students have the option of choosing just 1 course (3 credits) at a lower cost. Students should choose a second choice of courses in case one or more courses may not be available for any reason.

The definite schedule is given to students at the Orientation Program in Florence.

Students enter their accommodation.
Some stores are closed on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Restaurants and few supermarkets will be open so students can buy food or supplies for the first days in Florence.

Afternoon excursion to the hill of Piazzale Michelangelo for a stunning view over the city and a visit to the 1,000-year-old church of San Miniato

Excursion to the hill-top town of Fiesole, plus typical lunch

Excursion to the Tuscan town of Pisa
June 11:
Morning excursion to the open-air market at Cascine Park
June 15:
Excursion to the Tuscan town of Greve in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti area with typical Chianti lunch
June 18:
Educational guided tour and dinner at a restaurant
June 24:
Public holiday in Florence – the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the Patron Saint of the city
Dinner and meeting in the city center to watch the fireworks along the Arno River
June 25-28:

Dates of excursions may be modified due to logistical factors, transportation strikes, etc.
Additional excursions may be added depending on students’ interest.
The school opens on June 3 and closes on June 28.
