To call the U.S.

Students can rent a cell phone in Florence at special conditions for students. NECA will give all the necessary information. A good rate is €10-15 a month plus traffic of 30cents/minute to call the U.S. and about 15cents/minute to call other Italian cell phones.
To rent cell phones in Florence is the most convenient way to make phone calls. U.S. cell phones do not work in Italy unless they are tri-band. Phone cards bought in the U.S., cell phones rented in the U.S., and U.S. phones are more expensive.

Leisure Time & Shows

www.sbandieratori.it

The group of flag throwers, "Sbandieratori dei Borghi e Sestieri Fiorentini," with their beautiful exhibitions, bring part of Medieval and Renaissance military tradition to life. Their spectacle is the result of an age-old discipline and rigorous martial arts. Standard-bearers, drummers, and trumpets move on the field while the captains accompany the standard.
